700+ RWHP on a BONE STOCK car

Stock headers, exhaust, driveline, stock EVERYTHING. Slapped on the blower, injectors, and tuned. Who knows how long it will last (ring lands suck on these pistons and 99% of times, the first thing to go), but he's been thrashing on it for a couple weeks now.

im just saying....i like the challenger and all, but come on now....a gt500 with a simple blower bolt on will make 800hp.....its been documented in various stang mags....

the title was misleading considering a stock gt500 will make 100hp more than the srt8...still, the challenger makes great power for only having bolted on a blower...dont wanna take away from that, but would still like everyone to know that more can be had from the gt500.

How the fuck is that the same?

Ren (and I) is replacing every piece of the rotating assembly to create a stroker motor.
The only thing stock that will still be in place will be the box it all came in (the block).

This car has NOTHING else other than a blower.

Is that the same to you?


I mean that would be like me saying Adam's black 05 runs in the 9s in stock form even though its got a 3.4 on it and forged guts in stock configuration.

Kevin I completely agree with u and wasn't knockin the challenger. 700hp is damn good with only a blower.

I'm not 100% sure, but I dont think he has been to the track with this setup. Last time, IIRC, he was just over 500rwhp. But even then, only matters what he can get down. I had 200 less rwhp and ran almost a half second quicker at the dale....

This can go back and forth w/ adding a mod to each one. A forged 440 Hemi under that blower won't be touched by any supercharged GT500. I just wanted to simply level the playing field by giving the N/A one a blower. The GT500 will always make more power w/ stock internals b/c it was designed for a blower (low comp, forged, etc)

Did you see the mod list on that 800rwhp GT500? That is a LOT more than a simple blower swap. Take away EVERYTHING except for the blower swap (fuel/tune also) and what would it make? I don't know, but am curious.

They are...but so are the 05+ Mustangs. The Challenger is about 10" longer. The fact that it reflects in the wheelbase helps, but everything else is splitting hairs...

Well I was in the neighborhood today (had to arrange things w/ Miz ) and I swung by ST to holler at Adam.... car was being loaded up on the trailer to head to Famoso drags to run tonight.
It made 720 rwhp and went 6.70s @ 104 last night at the Dale. The expectation tonight is 10.4s @ 130+ mph.


edit - BTW this is the fastest Challenger in the country right now.... stock motor + KB 2.8 and supporting mods @ 4600 lbs SICK.
