2006 gt low oil pressure.

Just purchased and installed a new jlt series 3 and loaded the 91 performance tune octane that came with my new scf sct3 tuner. Today after coming back from cars and coffee in irvine i was on the freeway and was in 5th crusing. I decided to throw it into 4th and pass up a few cars and when i got on the car i took the car up to about 5-6k rpm then out of no where i got the engine light and my dash read oil pressure low. my needle on the dash went from being midpoint to low and then quickly back to midpoint. Have no idea why this happened. The car has oil and i did an oil change about a month ago. I didnt get the small wrench i got the engine light on for about 30 seconds and then it went away.

check the oil level again on a level surface (like at a gas station). Sounds like the oil is low enough to empty the pan when the oil is thrown up in the heads from revving high.

ok guys it happened again and got more detail on it.... So today i was racing my friends bmw on the freeway and my car was good all the way till i hit like 4th or 5th gear. I noticed that i hit about 100+ and I was in 5th when the car turns off and the stearing wheel gets stiff.. the small engine light came on along witht the battery light. What can be the problem i redlined to about 6k rpm from 4th to 5th.? once the car turned off at least the engine turned off. ignition was still on the oil went to low which i figure since engine was off but everything else was on (stereo and other gauges when you turn ignition on).

how can i make sure that the tune is correct for the oil pressure switch? i have bama tune.

My guess would be that when you redlined the fuel cut off in order to prevent the motor from getting damaged or blowing and thus the car shutting off.

And racing on the freeway and hitting 100+mph is :no: You wanna race, go to irwindale or fontucky and race on a track.

I didn't redline it that much tho. I only redlined it to the beginning of the red on the dash. I think it's my tune because when I had my diablosport tuner and k&n cai it never did that. Once I installed the jlt series 3 and the bama custom tune it started doing this. This is twice that the car has done this at high speeds when I get on the car it shuts the engine off. Doesn't do it from gears 1-3

Any ideas what can be the issue? I think it's the tune.
