it wasn't bad luck, it was trusting an individual and his shop that was incapable of doing the proper job. a shop full of empty promises like the dyno he was supposedly going to get which my car was to be tuned on. my fault for trusting someone i guess. it was a shitty lesson to learn but you gotta learn some how right? either way i've fixed all the problems be it myself or greg's shop. car runs fantastic now, thanks to greg's tuning.

but no one can ever make the same mistake i did, at least with the same shop in any case.

Intercooler didn't work (maybe this is the reason Lisa's car made shitty numbers) and a Whiney leaky rear diff. I guess I learned my lesson from trusting a Professional shop to install a basic blower. Suck a dick every one

i handed mark a lot more and ended up with a blown motor and a turbo kit i cant even give away. how were your gauges installed wrong? only reason i ask is you know mine you not installed properly either, it also costed me a battery cause it drained one and wouldnt hold a charge.

never heard the numbers lisa's car produced, but realistically the numbers are gonna be off cause it's a universal canned tune, now if mark tried tuning it i would be shocked it actually ran properly at all.

mark is a decent guy for a friend, his business ethics are fucking garbage. kinda of bent us over, no he has bent me and quite a few over. he literally has conned quite a few people, and who knows how many dont post on here or haven't spoke up about instances.

mark's shop deserved to go under he deserved that. the man made promises he i'm sure he damn well knew he couldn't fallow through with, lifetime guarantees, promising proper tunes, warranties ect.

maybe i'm more sour then most about what happened because i saw him as a friend and he stabbed me right in the back.

sergio, there are several guys that built motors and do tunes just most aren't local and are back east. adam at st builds and tunes all his work so there's one local and very reputable and well known shop. hell when my motor blew mark talked about basically adam building the motor and essentially tuning it as well. you speak of the quality of the paint work, mark had nothing to do with nay body work what so ever other then collecting parts and sending it to some shop know one even knew whom it was exactly doing the work on their car.

which speaking of body work reminds me of a car, a car that was essentially and probably should have been totaled at the track. silver gt like my car except auto, was a girl whom owned the car. anywho to move along with the story. the car was getting repaired through marks shop and while it was sitting there in his shop someone put sex lube in the girls car. whom was a person whom i have not gotten along with gf's car. so who got blamed none other then me, yet i had nothing to do with such a thing no would i ever do something to someones car. anyways the car was returned to the girls parents whom found it. obviously this caused a lot of problems within her family. so that obviously proved that the cars weren't being properly watched.

i respect the fact that you say what you want to do, i hope what you say is what you truly mean as those are shop that we need more of. but not just mroe but actual quality shops willing to back their work.

Honestly when I towed my car to marks shop and seen a motor he built that only lasted 500 miles I was thinking of not dropping it off anymore. I said whats the worst that can happen I built the short block...

He did the heads and the install, lasted a little over 1,000 miles :( 800 of which where break in miles...No boost on it for that time.

He can say I cheaped out, but certain $$ was spent on things that where not important that could of been spent on things that are important. I told him I planned on making around 700-800rwhp, him and his techs said nope never will happen, maybe 500.

Instead of saying it wont happen, as a shop why not say, well you have to do this and this to get to that.

I know it takes allot of $$ but ive been doing step by step to get where I want.

I threw away $3,000 at his shop....

The tuning part was what pissed me off with him the most, car would run around 10:1 a/f at times at idle and he couldnt get it right, He wanted me to keep driving it like that but no freaking way. If it would of worn out my rings whose fault would it of been? I built the short block... I had no choice but to take it to swansons.

I later found steve through foose design and he did a good job tuning it.

Some people just cant do certain things, its why you hire help that CAN, so you make customers happy and keep them coming back.

My only problem is with that jerk Damon who was the uber mod :look: just messing. Im just pissed that I can't get any of my lifetime warranty work done. One of my fog lights doesn't work and both fog lights are hazy. They hold water and when I told mark he said he would take care of it.... Never happened. Same thing with my hood peeling Alcamey and mark kept blaming each other. All I know is I spent a good amount of coin on paint to have it start peeling. Alcamey said Sinergy owed him a lot of money and until he got paid he wsasnt going to warranty my hood

people make mistakes shops screw up here in there as no one is perfect. so you give them thechance to fix it, it doesnt cost you money if they're warrantying the work so might as well let them try again. if they cant do it right the 2nd go around then yes i agree move along to someone that can, which is what i did eventually with the tune for my turbo kit, i knew it wasnt going to get done right by the way it felt after each tune. and now greg tunes my car n/a and does a spectacular job at it i might add

I only dealt with him once...

I had no where to work on my car, he offered a killer deal. Deal changed some when the car showed up, and changed more and more the longer it was at the shop.

He offered to fix my valve covers before I picked up the car but my car spent over 2 months close to 3 months at his shop which IMO is WAY to long so I could careless about paint on valve covers, I just wanted it out.

Lesson learned? How about the 6800 CASH I have mark to do a blower install and some misc parts. Boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge installed wrong. Intercooler didn't work (maybe this is the reason Lisa's car made shitty numbers) and a Whiney leaky rear diff. I guess I learned my lesson from trusting a Professional shop to install a basic blower. Suck a dick every one

I had mark's shop install SFC's and LCA's on my car, the install was fine and never have had an issue with them. But they failed to check and make sure everything that was taken off or removed was put back in the correct place.

My car is an auto so I have a drive cable that was bolted to the factory SFC's. Obviously the cable had to be unbolted in order to remove the stockers and install the new SFC's. So after the new ones were installed, they failed to bolt back the drive cable to the new SFC and left it hanging.

Well, once I started driving, I had a loud humming noise coming from under the car that I couldn't figure out what was causing it. After checking everything under the car I saw a cable wrapped around the driveshaft, sure enough it was the drive cable hence the noise. I got lucky as when I found it the outer covering had burned completely through but the actual wire was still good so I just re-sleeved the wire. Any longer and the wire would have been burned and snapped.

When you overlook or fail to do simple things like check the work and make sure everything is put back together or where they should be is inexcusable and pisses me off. Imo, quality control is a foundation for a shop, you don't let cars leave before checking and making sure everything is in tact.

Usually if they are slotted or drilled they have a direction so you can install them backwards. A blank rotor you would never know which direction its going anyways.

Overall I was happy with the work they did to my truck. I would have done the work myself but it was covered under warranty if a shop would do it.

I had a few issues-
They cut the catback off the midpipe when they removed it to save time rather than heating up the slip fitting. No big deal I cut it down further and installed a universal SS X with walker SS clamps to hook it back up, but it was pretty fucking odd picking up my car after having work done with the catback unhooked?

They left the transmission crossmember bolts loose, found that when I was looking at the exhaust when I got home.

They left a ground wire unhooked in passenger side of engine bay off the ecu harness.

I had him repaint the bumper cover and grill surround because it had a lot of rock chips and the bumper cover was scraped on the bottom.
-The bumper cover scrape marks on the bottom were just painted over, can easily see/feel them still.
-When removing or installing the grill insert from the grill surround, the grill surround was cracked and there's a ~1" chunk missing

I let everything slide except I wanted a new painted grill surround, which he agreed to do but never even ordered one for me...

if the cooling vanes are straight, it doesn't matter which side the rotor is installed, however if they're curved, then they're directional. it's an easy thing to miss if you're either not paying attention or don't know the manufacturer.

How many? I drove 3 times from long beach, then I had my girlfriend take the chip once from long beach then I was gonma head out again but mark decided that I should just drive it that way that it would be okay.

Ya like I was about to risk thousands of dollars on something I knew was not right.

IMO at that point I would of just refunded the money and said I was sorry.

On the second try I had my car idling so so and a/f close to 14.8 (the video I posted yesterday)

Took me about 2 hours to get it tuned right at 25lbs boost. I put allot of safety "settings" to....

IMO I think they had the concept down for tuning but instead of messing with injector slopes, engine displacement to get close and then fine tune via mass air they messed with fuel pressure.

Actually alot was said. Even when it came down to my car sitting there for 3 years,Juan getting a bad paint job, and Jose's issues. Alot of people said something but alot of people got banned.

I've only owned the car two years :p I started the race build last year back in march. So it's been one year, I had the $$$ to finish it but I ended up spending it thanks to someone else fucking up.

It should be done and racing in two months. If everything goes smooth which it hasn't.... Lol all I really need is to build the diff and it will be done. Which takes no time but I'll just say two months just incase :backpedal:
