Found a pretty cheap Diablo Predator tuner for 03-04 Cobra. Was wondering if I could use that on my 99. Of course I wouldn't use the tunes that come with it, but would get new files for my car.....so just wondering if they are like sct xcal where it doesn't matter what mustang model it is..or are the diablo tuners specific to year by year?

just get an sct more tuners tune with sct and frankly they work better as a unit

I had an sct xcal 3...but it was stolen a week ago. Not looking to spend 250+ for another tuner when all i need right now is to adjust gear ratio. Diablo predator is more than enough for what I need right now. Later on when I finally decide to install a FI, ill definitely be picking up another SCT product.

u can get an xcal 2 for dirt cheap on the s197forums.com l paid 125 for an unlocked one and as long as its a ford model xcal 2 itll work.

The predator tuner im looking at right now is only 60 shipped =)

Yeah. Right now I just want anything to fix that speedometer. After that, I will just keep the car as is for about a year until I graduate..and then FI will come :asthanos:

Well I know for a fact one from an 03/04 cobra doesnt work on a GT. Reason being I tried to use one on my GT to adjust the Rear diff gear. Only thing it allows me to do it check trouble codes and clear them. Pretty sure it will be the same in your case...

I know but the 99/01 cobra's & 03/04 Mach 1's use the same handheld as the GT's the 03/04 Cobra handheld is its own. The handheld from a Cobra doesnt allow you to make changes on the gt ecu

You are right. Just called them up, and it doesn't work on a 99 -_- How lame.

well i suggest looking at the s197forum's classified section you have to register to view the gforum but you cna get an xcal 2 for 100 bucks or a xcal 3 for around 200-250
