This my 2nd actually..I owned a 02 sonic blue 5spd GT..night an day difference in power even though the mach is stock mostly(just got flowmasters an 3" rolled tips yesterday)

but as far as mods the major things that I want is a BOSS 302 block kenne bell SC SN95 cobra intake cams port an polished heads built 5spd trans 410's and every suspension part known to man..specifically I want a 10 sec.(in the 1/4 mile of course) Daily driver

post your plans for the car, do u want to keep it stock and dependable, slight mods or go crazy? theres a few guys on here with mach ones that have gotten alot done, keep an eye out for them, those are some nice machs.

Welcome to the site. You do know a SN95 cobra intake is For pushrod motors right? As well the Boss 302 block. Unless you plan on going pushrod I don't think those items will work on a 4v. None the less that's a clean Mach 1. Nice step up from the GT :D

Well the sn95 was from 94-98 an since I have a 4V modular I want the 96-98 intake camshafts..an if I got the name of the block wrong sorry but I meant I want a 302 block with forged internals..so basically a stroked 4.6

My input...save your money on the head work and cam swap(s). Those are only worth it if you're building a race car or max effort N/A engine. Take that cash and do the 03 Cobra blower swap. The 03/04 setup is better than the Mach1 kits and has more potential. Look around, complete kits pop up all the time.

All you need for a 10 sec DD is a well built stout bottom end and lots of boost. Stock 4V heads are the shit as far as airflow. You can go w/ the 5.0 BOSS block (Yes, FRPP does make a 302BOSS mod motor block (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=9778)), but it's really not needed. Plus, it will also make pistons/gaskets/etc more expensive and not as easily available...

Big pulley for the street. Small pulley, belt, switch tune, and slicks at the track. 10 sec DD. :beer2:

Yup, what Darren just said. Get the kit from Gbear. The 03/04 setup has more options down the line as far as blowers. Just build. Good bottom end and you're set.

Then at the last sec he finds out he is not slams on the brakes swirves over almost takes you out and ends up spinning out. They do all kinds of crazy stuff. Im an agressive driver but some of these kids r just wild no reason. I dont mind the crazy lane changes but shooting down the middle turning lane doing 90mph is a bit much. Seen plenty of foos get broke off like that.
