ok, so i ran out of deodorant last week so i'm at the store and this pops in my mind.

there are essentially three types of deodorant/antiperperant out there.

1) white solids - usually a deodorant and an antiperperant. works great makes you smell good and dry but you get the white crap all over your clothes

2) invisible solids - these are awesome cause you dont get stuff on your clothes big fall of the invisible solids. they are only deodorants not antipersperants. so you'll smell good you'll just have sweaty pits.

3) invisible gels - this is like the best of both worlds. a deodorant and antipersperant that doesn't get crap on your clothes. downfall? its a gel so your pits are all funky goopy till the chit dries.

so i'm sitting there in the isle wondering what i should get. and starting a rant in wal-mart about it. till i found Old spice performance solid.

its a solid AND a gel!

it is in the same container as the gels. heres the awesome thing. it comes out as a soft solid. when you put it on it goes invisible. and doesn't leave the funky goopy feeling. and no crap on your clothes.

all in all i love this stuff now. and it's the only one i'm gonna buy.

I don't mind the gel deoderant, I've been using it for over 10 years! :steve: The key to avoiding the "goop," as you call it, is to NOT over do it! I turn that wheel thing about two turns or so, just enough to leave a nice coat of deoderant on my pits :)

Same here! I wear black a lot and have NEVER had any issues with my gel deoderant! :) Gillette gel deoderant FTMFW!!!! :rockon: :steve:

I just heard that anti-perspirent(sp?) deoderant is actually bad for you. One of the ingredients is aluminum, and I heard that your skin absorbs it and it affects your brain :whoknows:

I think the "Deodorant" only type leaves the white flakey powder all over your clothes. Switch to Anti-Persperent only stuff and that shouldn't leave the flaky powdery stuff all over your clothes.
