They just brought the car show back to the LAPD academy in Elysian Park where it belongs. This show usually has a great turn out and is family friendly. Plus, we don't write tickets if you enter the show :angel:

Sounds like a good time. I bet there won't be too many open hoods though. Lol.

Believe me... nothing but good times... and absolutely nobody cares what is under the hood. It is an unofficial free pass on equipment violations. Even the Cholos bring the low riders out for the show and kick it on Academy Way in full Dodgers / Raiders gear.

Inside the academy they have bouncers for the kids and even a helicopter for pictures. Plus plenty of booths with food.

All the money goes to kids charities with no proceeds going back to the Department.

Show is free for spectators with no charge for parking in the Dodger parking lot.

Also a few pictures from 2006.... As you can see... any type of car is welcome... Personally, not a bad show for some of the Mustang guys to enter or just to show up to see so cool cars. Plus you can have your trash can burgers at the park, if you want to have a picnic later that day.

Ben Alameda is one of the founders of this show, if I can get enough Mustangs together he'll have a special place for us.

How many people from LAMC plan to attend the show? Maybe we can arrange to park our Mustangs together at the show.

I'll probably send my entry in early this week.

Mailed my entry in on Tuesday, but have not recieved confirmation it was recieved.
I have emailed the people running the show and they bascially told me to show up at the check in area and we'll go from there.

We'll see what they tell me tomorrow.
