ticking noise?

when on the freeway and the center divider is high enough or there is an overpass i hear a faint ticking noise. what could it be? my car has 85,xxx miles and i know its not a nail or rock in my tire. any input would be helpful in what it could be.

No problem. We used to diagnose those by driving through a narrow alley with our heads out the window. LOL.

Yeah check ur exhaust bcuz i had a ticking noise in my gt also n although it wasnt a really lose nut on the exhaust clamp it did make a noticable differance when i tighten two clamps then bam the ticking went away.

if you let off the gas, an exhaust leak tick should go away, it should only happen on throttle, especially light throttle at low rpm's

went to a muffler shop and everything checked ok. havent really heard the noise anymore :shrug:

If it does come back, check to see if the noise increases/decreases with RPM. Is it present when you are on/off the throttle.
