Yep. I'd go aftermarket unless the stock control arms on 03-04 Cobra's were really that good (which I highly doubt).
Get some good aftermarket CA's. If you were trying to maintain a stock 03-04 Cobra in pristine condition, then I'd suggest paying the high dollar for stock.

they have lower friction bushings and a revised stamping the pushed the front wheels further forward, reducing the turning radius.
they are totally worth ~$200 for a set brand new, but not the $319 that the cheapest place I've found (lethal performance) sells them for.
I'd rather put the money for tubular arms and coil-overs for the `97, into a tubular K-member/arms for the coupe, grr.

Just like the "POWERED BY FORD" COP covers were going for like $60/set a year or so ago. Now they are $250ish. Absolute :bs:

thats what I suspect, but I have heard "some people" who shall remain unnamed, say that it raised their car.
I suspected they were just doing it wrong.

I think it stayed the same... All I noticed was a little smoother ride and the insides of my 9" wheels didn't scrape on the LCA anymore..

that person likely either used far too much RTV sealant, went wild with the impact wrench, or forgot to use the cookie sheet cutout. :look:

Rebuild the stock ones? I put new urethane bushings in the stock arms along with Steeda X2 ball joints.

did you need to use a press to do this?
I don't have one, and the closest one I know of that I can use for free is in SB.
my options at this point -
A) $320 - NEW 03/04 arms
B) ~$140 for steeda X2 balljoints, or ~$110 for Moog balljoints + $40 for poly bushings + XX amount of my time
C) stumble upon a great deal on like new tubular K + arms + coil over kit that fits Bilstein struts
D) Steal the koni DA struts and Griggs c/o from my coupe, slap my H&R race springs in the front of the coupe temporarily, and get a tubular K + arms for the `97
I'm leaning heavily towards just buying the cobra arms, though the poly bushings would be very nice to have :( I don't really want to put too much money into this car, as it's just primarily my DD and I'd rather put toy money into the coupe...

No press. The new urethane bushings reused the stock shells, so they slid right in. The balljoint deal I needed to use a vise.
The poly set up is far cheaper. It took a couple hours of my time. Nothing major
