The #4 fuse on my fox keeps blowing- grrr. This is the blue 25 amp one responsible for corner and driving lights and rear taillights. Every time I flip the headlight switch, the fuse blows quicker than my last ex-girlfriend. I am totally clueless when it comes to electrical issues. Damn this car.

The fuse also lights up the speedo and tach. so at night, I have no idea how fast I'm going.

its called a short to ground,

check all wires under hood, and make sure none are cut or corroded

also try a higher fuse

DO NOT PUT A BIGGER FUSE IN THERE!!!!!

if you have fog lights, more then likely the headlight switch/turn signal switch are shorting out and probably melted from the current draw. Take a sniff near the steering column or the headlamp switch. We used to replace those things daily thanks to Fords design to overload the circuit

the worst thing you can do is put a bigger fuse when there is a short. The fuse will take longer to blow or not blow it all melting the wire or possibly smoking something else

+2 on never using a larger fuse, and +1 on the headlight switch probably being bad.

the fuse is doing its job and not in an way the culprit. Id think you'd know this as you ranted off on your 'experience' in another thread.

Your headlight fluid is low. :look:

I know you dont have foglights, but the harness that goes to the Combo switch(turn sig/wiper switch) could have a short. The switch is a bad design itself. I think Ford had a TSB on that back in the day.

see if this helps:

How will I be able to show you my taillights if they don't even work? This is TOP priority. Thanks for the tips guys.

Ahh this is a common problem with all cars.
Check the drivers seat. This tends to happen when there is a Ftl driver. :look:

It will take you 10 seconds to remove the headlight switch. There’s 2 detents on the left of the switch, stick a flat head screwdriver to release them and pull the switch out about 4-5” and more then likely the plug is burnt and sometimes melted to the point where its deformed. The turn signal switch, remove the steering column covers and there 2 torq screws holding that on and that plug might be melted too.
