Well, I am just about done collecting parts to have my engine swapped. Will pick up my heads today and new shortblock should be going in either tomorrow, friday at the latest. Saleen body kit will be painted tomorrow =). And oh yeah, still MANY more parts to come in the following weeks :asthanos:

Yeah, thats the gear kit. And you should know what gears im going with! Haha. I ordered the 3.73s from you.. which reminds me, do you know when I can pick them up along with the rest of the parts? LOL..

BTW, do you know if all the original saleen wings came with weird imperfections when new? LOL.. i had to really sand that wing down and even up some surfaces because there were like some wrinkle spots on some places

Saleen parts are notorious for having shitty fit and finishes even when they're new.

JK haha.Going to get the pipes cut where it will meet the irs pipes right after the fuel tank. Hopefully that works..if not..im sure an exhaust shop can make it work somehow haha

well...after some bull s#!t with the shop that was doing the swap..I decided to take it to Mark to finish off the work..so its now sitting at his shop getting taken care of! =) thanks Mark! life saver.

The shop had made an agreement that they would do the job in less than a week. I was supposed to drop the car to them on Monday, and they would return it back to me thursday, friday at the latest. To make it easier on them, I came out of school early and left on Wednesday night so I could drop the car to them on Thursday...... as in, Thursday, 4 days BEFORE what we agreed on...I just didn't want to rush them, so thought that would help out..anyways..three days later..Saturday, i stop by the shop, and the mechanic is still taking out the engine? WTF..anyways.. I had hoped they would've been done taking the engine out so I couldve taken the heads to machine shop.. unfortunately, they weren't done removing the heads until late saturday, right before they closed..so the machine shop was closed..anyways, i take the heads to the shop on monday and they return them to me on wednesday.. by now, they have all my parts.. so I thought they would've started working on it that same day..any ways, they don't. So I go check on them on Thursday afternoon, and no progress has been done...my shortblock is still in the plastic wrap, and my parts are just scattered everywhere..and the owner of the shop tells me that the mechanic that was working on my car quit the previous day, and he doesn't have anyone else to work on my car besides himself..but he has to go out of the country for the rest of the week, so he can't finish my car until next week. Usually, I would have been cool with that..but shiiet, I need my car to drive back to school. I don't have another car to get me back to school, and it would cost an arm and leg to buy a flight ticket on such short notice...so eff that, decided to get the job done right and quickly...so I gave Mark a call and he took care of me instantly. I just feel bad since the other mechanic took apart everything so Mark pretty much has to put a huge ass puzzle together... bolts and nuts are all over the place..

Oh, I'm upset at both...but more so at the situation..as I mentioned, I could have cared less any other time, but it's the situation they put me in.. If I had another car to drive back to school, I would have been fine..but since he had told me that he was going to be done with it by a certain time and he wasn't able to deliver...im pretty much stranded here without a ride LOL. As for the dropping the car off early, I had asked them if it was fine..and he said yeah no problem, that it made things better for him since he wasn't really working on anything else at the moment....and there was no problem about room for storage... there is plenty of room for other cars.

its just some regular mechanic shop... not a performance shop.. only reason i took it to them is because theyre pretty much my neighbors and it was very convenient..i could just walk over to check up on the progress..only takes about a minute walking LOL.

Huh? what deal? This is a complete different guy/shop than the one that was supposed to do an eaton swap up in NorCal. The other guy has a performance shop in NorCal, and he was going to charge me 750 to do the eaton swap..and it is a full complete kit because he was going to swap every single part necessary from a cobra going turbo.
but any ways, what matters now is that Mark has it and has seen more progress than the other shop would've had haha.

All I want right now is a running car. I'll worry about the eaton swap later on.

the rest of the parts he just has them at his shop LOL. When I pick the stuff up next weekend I'll send you pics of everything that is included =)
