Its like herpes...we keep coming back like a bad rash :cig:
You got that right.
I do miss the old days though. That crew was vicious but entertaining. Now it is little more than shittalk central and you get booted if you disagree with the status quo.

"Shit talk"
I'm still waiting for anyone to define that term and provide an example.

This is Jeff's thread about a cruise so I don't want it to go too off topic.
Frankie, you know the difference. Don't act dumb.
Kevin, shit talking: speaking and/or posting comments that are either untruthful, intentionally inciting and/or boastful and moreover for the sole purpose of entertaining ones self or others at a third party or parties expense.
I think that about covers it.
Eric: Sorry, no entertainment here.

I think it is a matter of the shit talking going on too long. Like some guys just don't know when to quit. It gets a lil tiresome when it spreads to other non-related threads. I am thinking of the Vince Incident. If you notice, T76mach has been taking some ribbing lately, but it's mostly confined to 1 or 2 threads. People who don't enjoy the drama can avoid those threads but not when it's spread all over the damn place.

Cropped the thread to move away from post whoring.
That is one side of it Ren, the other are folks that sit over on "option B" and have nothing better to do than come over here to stir it up and run back posting a link to "look what I did. "tee hee hee". or "Let's see if we can get _____ off his rocker today."
For me, I remember the SCHP guys as a group of older (and I mean that with respect) folks that albeit can talk shit with the best of em, for the most part, they know when to quit and at least had the good sense and taste to own up to their comments in person. That is hardly the case anymore.
LAMC was kind enough to welcome all from there with open arms in the years it took for Kevin to get his board back up and still welcome them as we are an open and VERY tolerant community, but the running over here to talk shit and stir it up, all the while hiding in hidden chatrooms that you get booted from if you don't post in or dare I say, don't tow the mutual line ain't gonna fly over here.
If you guys want to talk shit and incite drama, you have a brand new shiny board to do it on. Ain't gonna fly over here.

what? give me a break frankie. i don't arbitrarily do anything here. you know that. it's the peanut gallery who's always thought i act of my own accord.
that's what started all this uber-this and uber-that bullshit. it's almost like hearing all the ages old crap being thrown back in my face after all the time that's passed since they've happened.
you know, me even mentioning this is a waste of time. everyone's going to think what they want and say whatever they want even though it's a pile of horseshit.

I left for a while to take care of some business....
Finally a defined term.
Please show me where anything I have said is untruthful, is about me boasting about something (not sure what that would be since I have one car that looks like shit and the other doesnt run), where I have somehow "incited" something here or where I'm saying something to entertain someone by saying something that is poking fun at someone else's expense that DID NOT show they are willing and able to defend themselves or in some case bring the shit down on themself by doing or otherwise acting stupid.

SCHP still is a group of older folks who can and will talk smack with the best of them and have never been the one to shy away from anything they have said. But to say we have to resort to a "hidden" chatroom so we can say what we want is hilarious.
Its open and available to anyone who has an active acct over there.
Matter of fact heres the fucking link: http://www.socalhorsepower.com/chat/
Go see for yourselves how "private" it is.
And we dont boot people who dont "agree" with what we have to say. And to be honest I really have to say I dont appreciate you making that claim that you do not know to be true.
In fact its kind of ironic you saying that considering how much work you and the mods go thru over here to make sure the rules are "obeyed" by most.
The only firm rule in there is that if you log in, you must participate.
The reason for that rule is simple. We dont want people in there that are going to just log in and leave it open for hours on end so they can passively eavesdrop on what we are talking about and then take half the story and start spreading it all over with their own twist on it. So there is a "5 minute" rule. No talk, you get the boot. Simple.
I dont think thats asking much.... but see, we had to place a limit because some folks couldnt manage not to do that. And guess what... we dont have any problem with anyone anymore. The people that did that in the past still come over and we dont mind them being there, and nobody minces words because they are there.
Let me make this clear. We dont just boot people because we dont want them in there. As has been the case over the years on the board, people make themselves not welcomed by their actions and usually find their way out. Very few have been banned from that board. And we been around since about 99 or so.
We must be doing something right.

I realized (through a friend) that this thread can not lead to any good.
So as OP, I am closing it.
