EternalSpace, featured on CNN.com was shut down last friday. All employee's laid off. the CEO just nosedived the company on a moments notice.

Aaaand I have a new job starting next wed. yay.

yeh i was a little worried but shoot. i jut bombed craiglist and dice.com... had like 20 phonecalls and a couple phone interviews on monday. a couple in person interviews and bam. offer letter and im ready to rumble. just gotta tell em what kinda laptop i want and i get a nice 2 day vacation next week before starting the new gig. weeee.

thats pretty much how it went man. employees were just let go, no severance. from the rumors the owner is going thru a divorce so rather than spending money on this project i think he's going into hiding. about 2 weeks ago they changed the business plan and such, then a week later GTFO!

Crazy. Weren't you literally posting just a week ago about the place being on CNN for good reasons?

No one is safe in this economy. You guys should see the people that are coming in for interviews for the tech position. The job market is just FLOODED with skilled labor.
