so I'm going to attempt driving the tahoe home next week (after, ironically driving it up to Tahoe to go skiing, and possibly plowing through snow drifts...afterall it's a `96 2 dr sport 4x4 with BFG A/T's, a brand new set of vortech 062 heads, rockers, lifters, pushrods, MPFI injection conversion and I've got a set of chains :asthanos:) right now it has the stock tape + cd player in it.

I've got one of these waiting to drop in that I got for free -
Amazon.com: Alpine iDA-X305S - Radio / digital player - Full-DIN - in-dash - 50 Watts x 4: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41v6y02kdrL.@@AMEPARAM@@41v6y02kdrL

I helped my buddy sell his car, and in doing so put the stock deck back in and he let me keep this.

I really want to have bluetooth in that truck, should I buy the $125 add-on or is there a comparable deck with aux in / native ipod control / bluetooth for under $200? I figure I could sell this deck pretty easily for $100-$150.

I don't care that it doesn't have a CD player, I haven't used a CD in a car in several years.

this one looks decent and doesn't have 20 people shitting themselves bitching about the bluetooth like the sony and pioneer cheap receivers on amazon -
Amazon.com: Eclipse CD3200 CD/USB Multi-Source Receiver with Bluetooth Wireless Technology: Car Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31BTJoqxL1L.@@AMEPARAM@@31BTJoqxL1L

I'd throw a double din into the tahoe but it only has a 1.5 din opening and nothing cool has been made for that size since like 1999, meh.

that's not bad but the usb port in the front would drive my ocd self batshit crazy with the ipod cord hanging out the front of the dash.

with the alpine I've got, or the eclipse I linked, the usb cord runs from the rear and can be hidden anywhere.

the setups I have in my other cars I ran the usb cords from the rear of the decks into the glovebox, I just plug my iphail into there when I get in the car and they get charged/play music and the bluetooth takes care of any calls I get.
