i got an sts twin turbo kit for literally less then half the cost.

Comes with em. Just left em off for the tune. Also has splash shields behind the wheels.

thats not a bad kit for the price you just have to add injectors tuern and fuel pump to it. heard the fitment is actually pretty good.

Its a good kit for the price, just be ready to use allot of copper rtv and get some better v clamps. Hopefully by then though all the minor things like that will be fixed :)

The good thing is the kit is made for his car so unless he gets crazy with the boost controller (that I know he will inevitably be getting) he should be fine.
We'll make sure that the tune ain't anything crazy.

I know the kit per se is a slight bit older than Twisted's kit but I think it is safe to assume (backed up by the numbers on the boost gauge even though it is the wrong one) that that wastegate is sprung for about 5-6psi. That does not 450rwhp make.

On 12lbs I made 527/544 without a retune probalby could of made more...

i can always put an oil pressure guage in i put one in on my tbird. the reason i'm selling the manifold is i really need the gt500 pump setup right now its gonna be bainded with a kb bap. not to mention for the manifold to make it really worth anything on a boosted setup i'd need to be running over 10 pounds.

And where would you put it? You have about 3 different lines you need to monitor for it to make any sense.

on my old s-trim setup I had multiple sending units going to a 3 way switch to my oil gauge, worked fine for me.

so far its been 4 weeks. but over half that has been waiting for parts to show u, ie free scavenge pump from sts, new billet oil return cap from sts, gauges from automter which we still are waiting on the boost gauge as it was the wrong one so that wont be here til next week, needed stock mid pipes from ford after i sold my pypes cat back, waiting for speed of sound gauge pod, then waiting a week for sct tuning stuff so mark could tune it as well as hand held tuners.
so yeah everything took a week at least to get and that kept pushing shit back which was killing me. the car would have been finished today but mark ran into issues.

well it was little odds and ends you wouldnt think of needing that would be different from the same year vehicle. like the oil cap was different yt the kit was for an 06 so we had to order that once we noticed it wasnt the right one. basically stuff was ordered as needed.

sucks to find out something stupid as an oil cap changed from 2006 to 2010. you'd think in 50 years ford would know how to design a universal oil cap by now.

thast the thing this kit was for an 06 and came off an 06 yet they had 2 different oil caps.

Overall install time was about 2 days. Waiting on parts was another story entirely.
If not for adding extra things into the mix midstream (gauges, tune, etc) it would have been done in less than a week.

looking at the pic are there supposed to be clamps on the exhaust tubing that connects to the original exhaust right where the axle is? or does it just slip over?

thast one of the things that needs to be finished is the pipes being sealed up at that spot, just had a hell of a time finding some good band clamps. the turbos i think are mounted of hangers that the mufflers sate on. but the tubing also holds it in place as well.

Mighty bold claim there Vince seeing as how you have yet to be able to run it, and if you did, you just voided any sort of warranty you might have as I told you to stay out of it till it hits the rollers and I can tune it for WOT.
Frankie, the setup of the pipes under the axle is not an issue. There is PLENTY of clearance there. I had a slight issue of rubbing on the swaybar on mine but it was a simple fix.
Been running this kit on a practically daily driven (and I mean 40-60 miles each way) car without any issues. And as far as it costing him if he gets rear ended, same theory applies if he hits anyone with a front end kit.

nice vince. I would highly recommend buying tire for the track. Boost+5 speed+street tire+dragstrip= you seeing Mark to fix all the body work you tore up when silverbullet met the wall.
I haven't seen him drive but I have to figure he should be able to handle the 380-ish rwhp on a 1/8th mile track, give the guy some faith.

I didnt have a tune for 12lbs you want to know what rpm she blew up at? 4,500....
Its gonna come out of nowhere when/if it does blow up...
Just so you have an idea what a motor build cost's I have spent the follwing
$1,000 pistons and coating
$650 rods
$140 bearings
$220 rings
$600 Machine shop
$450 arp bolts
$440 head gaskets
$500 stainless valves
Not counting the block and crank either, that greg sold me..
Still need gasket kit,water pump,oil pump,timing guides,machine work for heads and possibly new heads, and upgraded fuel system.
So I am in it already over $4,000 just on the motor with me doing all the labor...
Be smart vince, if you have $10,000 laying around then go ahead smash all you want...

Most times, you don't even hear a ticking. By the time you hear something the damage is already done, ESPECIALLY on a dyno.
As far as a/f with the tune he has, he shouldnt even see close to that, but he needed a number so I gave him a number.
If he sees that number, he is above 4k which is what I told him to limit himself to.
Bottom line. He was warned. He blows it, it is on him.

first off i dont street race, i rather not get my car crushed it aint worth it to me. i've had a new camaro stride along side me trying to race with friends in the car egging me on to race i just looked at hime and he took off. i have plenty of self restraint when it comes to that.

I just say cuz this is a big HP jump for him. He knows how to race on the track. But N/a on street tire is one thing. Boost and upping your power is another thing. Boosting on Street tire at the track is a good way to end up kissing the wall. Just trying to help vince out here a lil :D :beer:

I believe stock with 20" goodyears he ran a 8.2 ...I don't know what ur best time was and if it was consistent or not. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't a 2011 5.0 do the eighth in about 8.4 with a pro driver? I wonder if ur twin turbo car can run what his n/a sn95 ran

I should point the finger at greg when I blew my car up :backpedal: LOL JK! I know better it was my fault and my fault only, I ran to much HP for the bottom end and untuned for that boost level.

Im a professional, never my fault :D You need to remember the Mach's have higher compression that means not boost friendly. But yes you should have brought it back to back timing out for higher boost.

I'm sorry but that's wrong, nothing on mark but it's wrong. what does it need to go back for? 3 or 4 runs at the most at the dyno and that's it! it's a 13 street car for crying out loud, I would understand if it was a stand alone set up or something like that but not on a stock 3v. Jaime and vince are in the same leauge, I don't see him going back to greg to get more out of it. It's a tune and that's it, it has to run. Sure he can do more upgrades and so and and go back to the dyno, but i dont see that case here. Just my 2cent's

We all know you can easily get better, just saying that you're going to be in the 11's is a bit much IMO. Whether or not it's possible we'll all have to wait and see. If you're gonna say "I'm gonna be in the mid to low 12s soon," then that sounds/seems more realistic....well at least to me anyway. Not trying to hate, just being honest :) Like I said, good luck and I truely hope to see you run what you should be running.
If your driver mod improves, and you're running mid/low 12s with ease, THEN I can see you saying, "I'm gonna hit 11s"

I didn't meet up with Mark until Vince went out for the run I recorded. Prior to that I have no idea :whoknows: I did go hang out with Mark and them for a lil bit, but I wasn't by Vince's car, I was too busy taking pics of Twisted :drool:

A friend put the turbonetics kit on his s197 and first couple of runs where in the 13s
With some practice he now has done 7.1 in the 1/8 and best of 12.2 In the 1/4 with about 440 rwhp
Btw I would of bought the on3 kit they only go for about $1899 :)

Sometimes I really should put money on it as last night after we finished up at the track and we went out to dinner I said:
"just you wait, no matter what happened today, guaranteed tomorrow the boards will be rife with speculation, armchair quarterbacking and plenty of folks offering their two cents on it."
Sure enough, I'm right.
Not that it is anyone elses business but Vinces car is done.
The whole purpose of taking it to the track yesterday was to dial the car in under a true load condition as inertia dynos won't get you.the full picture.
Frankie you might have missed the announcement but we are fully licensed dealers/tuners and are using the same software that Greg or Adam use.
We had the laptop in the car datalogging a myriad of parameters on each run.
The car was thrown on the rollers on friday but due to the speed sensor malfunctioning and breaking we couldn't get an accurate reading.
The car was never in jeopardy.
First run was fattened up enough where it ran what it ran but gave us a decent catalog to make adjustments.
Didn't help matters that Mr. Vince left the traction control on.
Second and third runs were progressively better with the car shaving an entire second off after three pulls and a good half second if not more still left on the table.
Thank you all for the 2 cents but we got it.
The part Vince neglected to mention was that the car will be coming back and require additional tuning due to the BOOST CONTROLLER going in to another 2-4 psi to get it to the 450-ish range.
What most folks are forgetting to calculate in is I highly doubt the car is making more than 370-380 right now due to the wastegate spring being as conservative as it is.
And the three runs were as follows:
First run: 14.8 vince driving
Second run: 14.3 vince driving
Third run: 13.8 Bryan driving
Oh and for the haters,
No oil, no smoke.

You got your runs and afr mixed up there vince.
Gauge was never "pegged"
It was in 10.5 range on the first run as Bryan added plenty of fuel for it to be safe.
And 12 on WOT on a boosted car is right where wanted it.
Seeing as how you had no idea how to even read afr less than a week ago, please stop speculating as the misinformation is just causing Frankie, jose and others to get an inaccurate picture of what is going on.

Most don't know me cause I don't post much. But, I'm Bryan, Sinergy's tech and tuner.
First, the dyno we were renting broke. I was just 2 pulls away from being done with Vince's car.
Second, we have had the SCT software for only 2 weeks now. We had no files for STS turbo kits and MAFia tunes. I had to start from scratch. Tuning the next STS kit will be a walk in the park.
It may take me longer to tune a car sometimes but that's because I'm so picky and like to get it just right. Vince's car is tuned now. His car is only running 5 psi. If he isn't happy with his times and power all we have to do is up the boost. Very quick and easy.

i dont drive anything with a street tire at a track 1 time i got loose started to that wall getting closer i dont want that anymore lol
