Now THIS really sucks. The clutch in my '03 MachI took a dump today (actually, the throwout bearing). Like I need to be spending money on my car right now - NOT. Being unemployed makes it difficult - no spare change laying around.

When it rains it pours I guess :(

Sorry to hear! I'm in a similar situation cause the TB in my Mach has been making noise for quite a while! Ive managed to make it live longer by dropping the clutch cable dust cover and spraying grease into/onto the TB! Anyways, what are you planning to do? You gonna change your clutch set up while you're at it? Or you just gonna install a new TB? You can buy yourself a really good TB for around $30-$40, but would you be doing the install yourself, or paying a shop to do it?

the difference between doin it yourself andhaving a shop do it is a good 400-500 buckaroos on top of the parts. Transmission jobs suck

Chris and Alexis, My buddy's shop where we did my clutch change, they charge just $190 for a clutch labor chrg ;)

Parts for the 32V are ~$200-250 that includes the Pressure Plate, disc, TOB, Pilot bearing and new header to H pipe gasket.

Clutch all swapped out. Was the TO bearing (ripped to shreads). Clutch still had probly 50% or so on it - but figured while it was apart might as well put all new stuff in :)

Now being easy on it for a few hundred - so I can drive normal again (like a crazy old man) :)

did you replace the input shaft sleeve where the TOB slides on? when the TOB gets torn up it's typically because that input shaft is galled/messed up.
