Just wanted to say Hi. My name is David and I'm a Nitrous addict. I am a die hard Ford fanatic and a major foxbody fiend. I build all my own stuff but am not a mechanic by trade. I actually run a hospital in Van Nuys and learned to work on cars by modifying all the vehicles iv'e owned personally and with help from friends. My current stable consists of:

1988 White LX coupe (Stock + Nitrous)
1991 White LX coupe (100% Stock)
1994 Ford Lightning (357 + Vortech YS)
2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty Tow pig

Iv'e owned many other Fords in the past and almost all of them have had Nitrous at some point or another. I like cars that look stock and run harder than the big tire racecars at the track. I'm not a fan of decals, wings or body kits and prefer to keep the stock lines of the car and spend the $$ under the hood.

A few pics to introduce myself.

Ready to hit the track

Yes it is a stock motor. No nitrous on this pass with a passenger.

I don't think he's doing anything but bench racing until a time slip from that car that's faster than another person's comes up

Hi Rob good to see you here too. BTW the Van Nuys cruise is happening today you going?

Guys I should have been more specific. I work in the veterinary field. Not human lol.

Fastsvo: I think you're mixing me up with someone else. My plates are GM SMKR and belong to my Lightning. I just had them on the coupe for a race. But I know the ZR WHAT plates they used to belong to a pretty fast 5.0 hatch sleeper.

u got a finished shot of the L motor setup? curious how you piped the blower outlet into the throttle body.

DAVE94LIGHTNING
08-11-2010, 01:10 PM
It isn't plumbed yet. Im trying to decide between an air/air
Intercooler ( I have a procharger 1000hp cooler) or a non intercooled setup with a hardlined nitrous setup to cool the charge and get out of the hole faster.

it just looks like the blower outlet points directly at the throttle body with not much room. curious how you're going to plumb it. also why not go with a super victor EFI intake and an elbow and get rid of the long runners with the stock intake manifold?

Doubt it. It's my Bday and the wife has other plans for me LOL

DAVE94LIGHTNING

The pics are slightly deceiving. A curved discharge pipe with blow off valve fits perfectly. I chose to keep the original Lightning intake setup to maintain it's authenticity, however it is choking this motor big time. I figure it will give the truck some low end torque and drivability to keep it as a street truck. The big blower doesn't spool up well at low RPMs so the long runner intake will give it some oomph down low. When I'm ready to run it in PSCA it will have the victor intake with the elbow :)

Ayy, I guess I am. That red 5.0 LX hatch is still around. Even many years later, I still see it on the road once in a great while.

How are those Van Nuys meet nights?

What up Dave?

Eric, good memory. The legendary GMSPNKR is still around. As a matter of fact, he's been on here. Posted a few Mustangs from his collection in the For Sale section. And as for that red hatch, that's B&D Brian's brother. Ahhh, the GOOD ol' days.

Dave, as always....see you at PSCA!
