with the new camaro, theyre doing it the other way around for some reason. The SS is the lower v8 model and the Z28(wich is just a dream so far and isnt even built yet) is the beast with a z06 motor i believe.

That's how it was back in the day. The Z28 is still on indefinite hold, but it's supposed to use the ZR1/CTS-V motor.

I hope not. Having the Camaro again as competition is good! If it weren't for the Camaro coming back, I doubt Ford would have started working on the 'coyote' engine. Can't have a better product without competition! (there's competition elsewhere, for sure. but for most people, the Mustang V/S Camaro is the main competition)
