anyone know if they make a polyurethane kit for an expedition? cause im seeing kits for f150's and explorers. im lookin for sway bar bushings, and endlinks mostly. front and rear.

also what are my options with shocks? i do see some bilsteins available.... hmm.

You will have to do your own searches, but I fiddled around Ebay and found front and rear Expedition endlink / sway bar bushing kits. I also saw a few KYB and Tokico shock / strut kits.

As far as shocks / struts go... its up to you how much you want to spend. Since you said in your original post that this was a stepping stone vehicle, basically so you could decide if you wanted to invest in a Tahoe, I wouldn't spend all the money on Bilsteins. Shocks / struts will have zero return on resale of the vehicle.

why are you putting money into it? I thought you were only going to keep it for a couple of months and decide that you don't need a SUV and sell it or find out you do like SUV's and get a tahoe? Sounds like either way you are only keeping it for 2 months. So why would you be changing all this stuff out? Doesn't make sense to me.

little longer than 2. prolly 6'ish. either way when i see something thats worn out i like to replace it. i dont want to just drive the living shit out of it. im seeing cracked bushings esp the swaybar stuff. hell yesterday i had a stainless steel exhaust tip put on because the old one looked limpy and dirty.

Its it the same chassis as the F one fiddy?

I heard that the new expos use a different chassis than the new F150's. :whoknows:

if it's 2wd, lightning take-off bilsteins are the way to go, I've got a pair of fronts that I'm selling for $40 on one of the lightning boards (lightningrodder.com)

I picked up a set fr+rr that had 30k on them for $75 shipped and they look and ride like brand new.

I haven't looked for swaybar poly stuff as my truck has the hotchkis swaybars front and rear.

yeah you've been here before, I can ship em for that price though.

people sell the eaton swaps kits from lightnings all the time, the biggest deal from what I've seen is the fuel pump setup has to be upgraded to dual pumps, they make good power though and the stock n/a 5.4 can take 10psi no sweat.

the only thing I'd worry about is the tranny, most of the 5.4l f150's had 4r70w's while the lightnings/supercharged harleys have 4r100's which can handle a lot more power.

4R100 is a good trans to be sure. But the 4R70W is very stout in its own right. Put a good set of clutches/ steels, torque converter, and improve the input and output shafts and you can take that puppy up to 500+ hp.

This is great to know! I have a 1998 Lincoln Navigator with a 2V 5.4 that BADLY needs some bawls. That eaton swap is just the ticket! Fucking sweet!

Not to mention less rotating mass in the 4R70W... Not that it would matter too much.
