What do you guys suggest for treating a pulled tendon?

Ive been treating it by icing it but that aint doing so much.
Im guessing i pulled the tendon last friday when i was squatting 495#'s but at the time it didnt hurt. It started to hurt the next day, saturday, and at first it felt like a soreness but after it started to hurt alot. The first 2 days it hurt alot so ive been icing it and keeping it simple and the pain went away. The days after that i still had pain but not as much and then it progressively started getting worse. Its gotten to the point where it is becoming a bitch to walk.

Dude, you gotta stop playing with your "tendon" soo much/often! Give it a break man!!! I know you're scared of the "if you don't use it you'll lose it" saying, but haven't you ever heard of the, "If you abuse it you'll lose it" saying? :laugh: :look: Just remember, don't get scared if you see shrinkage, you ARE using ICE!!!!! :laugh: :look: :D

i've heard wrapping it icing it and get some linement. they use it on race horses after races to help them. i use it on my shoulder. you can find it at a feed store. I have a bottle here at home.

oh yeah and rest!

You can take some anti-inflammatories to reduce swelling and pain killers to numb it. You can also apply hot and cold therapy. Get some heating packs from CVS and apply it to the sore spot for about 15 minutes..then come come back and ice it...then alternate between hot and cold.

Rubbing alcohol with the weed in it.

definately not a fun injury. Had that a few years ago playing basketball. shit hurt and even when i rested it hurt to the point where i couldnt be comfortable and took forever to heal it seemed. good luck man

When I was running track coach told us to stretch everyday u wake up and thru out the day. Right before u go to bed soak in epsonsalt for about 30min and stretch before u go to bed.

Then reason y its hurting so much cuz it starting to not up.

PS: Dont do the bounce stretch cuz it will make it worse. Stretch and hold.
