Mark,
Call my cell....smashed up the front. Doesn't look TOOOO bad, no mechanical damage, but tabs were broken off and the bumper definitely needs to be replaced (it was an 01 Cobra bumper if that matters). Call me asap, you have my cell and I want to clear it up with you so I know what to tell my insurance company. The car is driveable so I may actually use it this week and take it to you Saturday and then you can have it as long as you need it cuz I only have 1 more week of work and then 2.5 months off but this week I have my graduation rehearsal and actual graduation that I need my car for LOL (Wed & Friday)

And here is another instance that goes to show how your guys' insurance companies are NOT looking out for your best interest.
I guarantee you Erick that if you had not have called and it was just me calling and I had delivered the car, it would have taken MONTHS for us to get a check.
After the fiasco with Jaime's insurance company (almost 3 months) and the ongoing ridiculousness with Mason's 96, I can no longer afford to be releasing cars without full payment and here is exactly why.

Unless you have a really steep driveway (ie: you live in the hills/canyons), you can drop that car a bit, it will really help the look alot.
Also they have driveway ramps for that situation, not too expensive.

From what I know, I have never heard of them writing a check on the spot. Being that they have to document everything, put it in the books, get it approved through the offices, etc. Honestly what kind of company would go ahead and write a check on the spot? That's taking quite a lot of risk.

Quite a few of them do in fact.
Mainly some of the lesser insurance companies like to play games so they can hold on to the money they owe a bit longer.
Think about it. Even if they just kept the money in a low yield account at let's say 3%. If they can keep that money there for just a couple of weeks longer and average that out over about 10.000 customers, imagine the interest they are earning.
It is ridiculous and disgusting but that is the way it works.
Although I love having a car done before we even get the check for it. LOL.

Allstate. Had me taken care of in no time. Guy came out with a laptop and a printer. Eddie gave him a workorder or whatever its called and he printed out an official check in his car. Maybe you just need to pay him in cash and wait for him to reimburse you then.... or maybe pop for rental coverage on your policy for when you ball your car up and have to wait more than a week.
Which is a VERY fast turnaround I might add.
And I can hardly wait for the posts to go up after you pick up the car and then find some other shit to bitch about as if everyone on here somehow gives half a shit. :jerkit:

I never really took the rental insurance into account..may have to look into that. First accident for me so it's all pretty new with this incident. Mark having the car ready is awesome...but the bill it a bit too much for me to pay him out of pocket (we were gonna try it). See here is the thing.
If you were sitting in a rental, just watch how quickly that check would have been here.
The other thing is, (just to let folks know) we have a 3 day pickup policy which is clearly stated in the shop policy sheet that you agree to abide by when signing a repair order.
That states that after 3 days of the car being finished we will begin charging storage at 50.00/day until the car is picked up or 30 days and then we lien the car.
Now in your case that ain't gonna happen, but we have to enact such Draconian policies as currently I have two cars in my shop, yours being one that has been here already a week longer than necessary and Masons 96 which has been here 4 months too long and counting as the insurance company is playing games.
This is shop space that in the end I pay for, so in the end, I am sorry if you don't have your car back, but in the end it is me that gets to pay for it.
Not to mention me having to finance on their behalf the repair.
I told your insurance company when it would be ready and to mail (next day if necessary) the check.
Now don't get me wrong, this is not a "feel sorry for Mark" post, just making it clear to some folks that when push comes to shove, how their insurance companys really have them "in good hands" and are "by your side" etc, etc.
