94-98 VIS Carbon Fiber trunk
FYI for any ricers that exist out there
the fiberglass under / carbon fiber is actually so thin in some areas i can see daylight from under the trunk
fitment was good but of course they skimped wherever they could. the center brakelight needs to be ghetto rigged to get a watertight seal. The keyhole mount is spaced too far back so I can only open the trunk with the glove box, unless i bust the phillips head screw driver and a 8mm to take off the black trunk garnish.
damn vis.
the trunk is very light though

I luv my VIS 03/04 Hood....
zero issues.
But that trunk lid must be wicked light, seeing there appears to be little material present :D
-enjoy!

I dont think hes selling. He posted it in the appearance forum. I think hes just reviewing the product for us. Either way, it looks alright from the outside, how much does it weigh compared to stock?

Looks like shit.
Fits like shit.
Made in China, so you know its made like shit from shit material.
And you're not building a racecar, so my question is why would you do this?
Next time you have 400 bucks burning a hole in your pocket call me. I'll give you better ideas to spend it on.

Look on the bright side...
car is at least $400 lighter now :look:

ya, just trying to get rid of the stock trunk.
didn't even think about weighing it, but it feels like it's easily half the weight of stock.

I dont know what to tell you since I've never seen your car nor do I know what your goals are.
If nothing else, spend some time/money cleaning up what is already there.

i guess the goal would be a "race"-ish car. drive it less than once a month.
still haven't finished gutting yet
what i was thinking for next mods:
1. roll bar (either autopower, mm, or custom. need to lurk through cornercarvers some more)
2. torque arm (possibly steeda upper links instead, also needs more lurking)
3. solid steering shaft
?. rear coilover (only if i can't balance out the suspension with the springs i have)
?. light flywheel (is it worth?)
my "current" setup, assuming i get everything installed in the next month or so.
unless i missed something, most of the basic mods should be covered. trying to keep the list brief.
eng: stock NPI w/ t45, PI intake/C&L upper/70mm, crackpipe cooling mod, radiator, s/c+fuel stuff, solid mounts, longtubes+exh, Spec stg2, alum d/s, 4.10, diff cover/brace
suspension: stock sways, k/a-arms/400lb coilover, c/c plates, adj tie rod, stock UCA, adj LCA, panhard, TA springs
etc: lower "battle boxes", subframes, bullitt front / stock rear brake, MM clutch cable+pedal bracket, quadrant, firewall adjuster
CF hood, trunk, long VTEC shifter, 20% tint, walmart wiper blades, sequential tails, jacking rails destroyed
