Hey guys I just wanted to thank "ottocobra" for the sweet tank and pumps. Now for the question, I have a blown two valve GT that starved for fuel on the dyno. The tunner/builder recomended that i get an 03-04 cobra tank and matching pumps. Thanks to Jeff I have the set-up, but now he tells me that the dual focus pumps need to be wired differently because they pull to much amperage. Is this true? He also mention that the stock 03 pumps would be fine for my set up and wont require any special wiring. Is it worth having the focus pumps put in, or should I go with the stock 03 pumps?

yeah your better off getting the 03/04 cobra pumps to match with the tank. If you go with the focus pumps I believe it does needs to be rewired.

How much power are you running? What injectors?

The car made 435@4200rpm with 7 lbs when he shut it off due to the lack of fuel. Running 42 lbs injectors with 90mm maf. Car is pullied for 12lbs and bottom end is built with forged internals so I want to see what it will do with proper fuel upgrades.

Misleading thread title FTL. I was expecting to hear how you managed to blow up a 2v motor.
You have 2 choices. RET or ST Motorsports. Take it to them and have them worry about it.

if they pull more amps than the current wiring can handle install a simple relay and fuse that CAN handle that kind of load.

you can run two focus pumps no problem..maybe a better solution would be stick with the cobra pumps and use a 40 amp boost a pump..How much power you think its gonna make? 500+???

I didn't know you had to have a dyno to install a fuel pump.
Well, at least you have expanded your nutswinging to TWO shops you have never been to.
As far as the topic goes, Miz has it right. You have the cobra baffled tank, run the cobra pumps.

I have been to a Bentley dealer to, but I wouldn't know anything about em as I have never done business with em.
(BTW, nothing against Greg or Adam as I recommend both wholeheartedly, just a reoccuring theme with Nick acting like he has ever had either shop do anything that he paid for with em.)

May I ask how do you know if i've had work done from either of them?
FYI, I have in the past. Sorry i dont post up every little detail of my life and everything i do to my car on the internet.
I guess i'll start texting you everytime i take a shit or do something just so you know what i'm doing. It seems to me like that you like keeping tabs on me...That or you just have a boner for me.

blah blah blah. (avoiding the obvious)
Nick I couldn't care less what you do, just pointing out the reoccuring theme of your nutswinging.
(And Jose, the last time I was down at Greg's he didn't even know what Nick looked like other than people telling him he looked like a mini version of him.)
And PLEASE, no need to come in and defend Greg or Adam. This aint anything against them as I have already pointed out.

Regardless, let's drop it and get back to topic. I don't care to whore up the noob''s thread any further.

Dude seriously?
You're the one quotes me and then replies with some shitty response and now you want to run back and expect me like nothing happened? OK :sarcastic:
