i'd have to disagree with you on that.
Ive lived in cypress park for half of my life and never was it HOT. Yeah every once in a while there would be something going on but it will end pretty quick.
I used to live on Alice and pretty much the whole CxP gang was stationed on the bottom of my street but they had much respect for everyone on that street and if they needed to handle their bizness they would go do it else where.
Its much more quiter now in cypress park since the majority of the og gang has moved.
So i dont know where you guys get the idea that its a bad neighborhood when there are far worse ones out there.
:whoknows:

have you ever benn there to make claims like that. Im in the neighborhood visiting family there atleast twice a week and its quiet over there.

I used to live on ave 32 and there were constant drivebys and shootings. What's crazier is that we lived right across the street from st bernards and u would think having a church would make those cholos respect the neighborhood. WRONG!!
Also my dad teaches at aragon ave elementary where there was numerous shootings as well. Dude got shot walkin his granddaughter to school and a cop got shot too.
IMO I don't think its a safe place.

There is a big difference from living/being there and hearing things.
Alot of the stuff has died out already.
Yeah the shooting was about a couple of months ago and i remember there were cops patroling the neighnorhood and pulling people over like it wasnt their business.
As for the drive bys... i guess 2 drive bys would be considered numerous....The whole time i lived there ive only witnessed 2 of them.
But whoknows
maybe im wrong about all this. Maybe im just talking out of my ass.
Who cares if i lived there 15+ years and that im atleast there twice a week.
oh wellz. i guess im wrong. :whoknows.:
I just want to say thank you to all of you that didnt come to last nights last minute meet cause you would have gotten shot by the big bad cholos. :jerkit:
Im glad you guys are all safe and made the right decision.

Nick i wouldnt say u r talkin out your ass except for the fact that i lived in glassel park from the time i was 4 till i turned 13 years old. Keep in mind im also 7 years older than u so the time i lived there u werent even born and then were about 6 when i moved out...
im speaking from experience as well. I didnt "hear" anything but the drivebys happening a few doors down. anyways, im glad u guys had a good time and no one got capped. :look:

Well I guess I dont "know" shit by experience with the area. Because I never lived there, never dated or knew anyone that lived there.
But what I DO know from working downtown... is that the Avenues are known for blasting at blacks for being on the wrong block.
And thats enough for me.
I dealt with enough of that shit during my younger years while I was single and banging around with the little hot latina chicks in La Puente & Baldwin Park (P13, Rama, BP, etc.).
So when I hear that shit now, I avoid the situation completely. You'll find as you get older, thats usually the best route rather than just grabbing your ass and hoping nothing happens.

I never said nothing, just not much. A friend in high school's brother was shot in his apartment complex in Placentia. He survived, but it was pretty shocking.
