LOL, I bet you guys thought I bought another toy. Its actually a customers Shelby. I tuned it originally about a year ago.... pulley, intake, tune, it made 540-550 or so.

He wanted a upgrade and didnt want to go with the usual bigger blower route. So he picked up a TT Hellraiser kit from Hellion. He wants to go with a bigger motor later so we decided to do the entire fuel system now. 80# fuel injectors, triple return fuel system from Lethal, yada yada. Personally I would like to see him lose the SC for a intake, I think the blower is actually a restriction on the turbos.

My thought on the kit.... extremely tight!! It will be interesting to see the ground clearance issues a month from now. As far as clutch jobs on the car now... it went from $350, to now at least a $1k clutch job. Everything has to be dropped to change that now. I know Art came by earlier this week, maybe he will put some pics up when we started on it.

BTW here is some footage of him and his buddys cars. I tune the Shelby's and Ford GT you see in the vid. Yes that is in Kuwait.

YouTube - Q8 Midnight Run 3..!

I asked him what happens if your car breaks out there. He said " I will pay you to shut your shop down and fly you and your guys out". :aaron: hahaha

LOL, he doesnt handle this kind of stuff. This one is split between myself and the other guy that works for me. He use to work for Saleen for a few years and TechCo for a little while.

I did get this one picture from Art, I will take some more tomorrow of everything up.

damm that right there looks pretty sweet, pretty good idea to mount the turbos right there.. solved a lot of hot piping issues, does the turbo inlet have an intake going up a bit more? i'd be scared of rain..

Took me a few pulls to get the boost controller to start working properly. As of right now the car is making 650hp/750tq on supposedly 12.8#. I dont think the gauge is reading correctly though. The scavenge pump is acting up so we have another one coming in Monday. We will also throw a stock pulley on the blower and a manual controller when it goes back on the dyno. I will get the graph up here tomorrow.

At SEMA, Wasn't there a claim of like 12,000 hp for this set-up?

Kudos to you Greg for getting this thing to run this well !!! :pouce:

So the blower still spins the screws? Or is it gutted and just acting as a plenum?

Greg@RET
06-07-2009, 06:24 PM
Blower is still functional. Although I keep telling him to lose it for a intake. It also creates to much heat... especially for a car that is headed to Kuwait.

does keeping the blower on there help out any with the low-end power? or not so much?

Greg@RET

Hellion uses some check valves for the turbo feeds. Turns out one of them was faulty :aaron: Turbo needs to go to Turbonetics now to get re sealed.

The owner found this site through google and told me to update this thread lol

We did another 15# 91 octane tune made 720/740 rwhp and the tires were spinning when the tq. hit  Going to do a race tune in a week or so.

Greg@RET
12-14-2009, 11:18 AM
Heres a vid of the race tune. 22# total 8# on the stock blower.
