I have to agree...

I have a demented sense of humor about a lot of things but I know there is nothing funny about pedophilia.
And to those that do find it funny, I'm not gonna say you SHOULDN'T find it funny or whatever, but I make this single suggestion....

You MIGHT want to be careful of who YOU let in on the fact that you do find it funny.
I mean do you think your parents or sister or brothers would relish the fact that you think its funny? Would they themselves enjoy it?
What about your co-workers/bosses? Do you know anyone that might have been assualted at some time? Or maybe (most likely) you DONT know if someone you know has ever been assaulted. Whats that going to say about you?

Because most people will find the whole idea to be poor taste in some cases and downright disgusting in many others...

I'm just saying there are some things you shouldn't fly on a flag.

For example, my bosses here have NO idea that I drink and party as much as I do and because I know they dont drink I take lots of steps to make sure it stays under wraps here. I don't even go across the street to Weiland Brewery and have a cocktail or beer with my lunch or go with some of the people from other floors here in the building to watch a game or to happy hour for fear that the wrong person from my company will walk in the door. Too much risk.

Anyway, enough of my sermon.

If you find it funny, so be it. But just watch out....
I just ignore it and move on as I do with many things that come up in life, but some people might not.

Like I said (and Kevin went into greater detail on) if you find it funny, so be it, but to me it is giving one of the most heinous and dispicable acts a human can commit a lighthearted "acceptable" mascot which to me is just making light of a subject that has no humor affixed to it.

If you get your jollies off with Pedobear, go for it but I don't really care for such low class and potentially dangerous "humour".

Well a guy at my last job got fired for looking at pedobear at work. A company wide email went out about child porn and had a company mtg.

Guy had the same attitude as Nick as saying that he is not real. Until he showed someone who had been attacked by someone who was a pedo. Guy got fired. HR and company lawyer had a mtg and basically broke it down and I quote
"Regardless if a character is animation or not real at all. The fact that any pic using REAL images of children in any compromising situations that appear to be under the age of 18 years of age is considered child pornography. Anyone caught wit such material at work or at home will be prosecuted and listed on public record as a ......... themselves."

Now if u guys still want to dance that fine line go right ahead. But if someone press charges The little statement of the bear not being real wont fly in court and u will b doing the pedo-bear dance wit Pucky in CB4...:no:

BTW, nobody is saying that bear is or isnt illegal, what they are saying is that if somebody charges you (whether its real or not) when the FBI goes thru your house and everything in it, they WILL use that shit to build their case.
