Unfortunately...I made the wrong choice when turning. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and no property was damaged...only a small hill filled with vines and my wallet. Anyways, I was told by a couple friends that work in the car industry that I should be okay to drive the car as long as the headlights are working and the reinforcement bar is in tack. Is this true LEOs?

The driver's side headlight is being held firmly and everything mechanically works fine, even alignment (Thank goodness). I am looking for a bumper replacement and whatever else is needed (this will take a few weeks or a month or so), but I will be driving this to work daily. Now, should I have any concerns with the local law enforcement while driving the car w/o a front bumper and/or foam shield protectant?

Thanks in advance...

Technically speaking... the "bumper" is considered the foam piece that is broken and lying on the ground. In the eyes of the law... it is probably more the metal support piece that is still on your car. The bumper cover is just that... a cover.

You should be fine with just the support bracket and your headlights functioning.

On a side note, I issued a ticket to some kid in a riced up civic the other day for something very similar to this. Although he was hit in the rear and decided to cut the metal bumper support out while he fixed the car and still drove it around. Cutting out the rear support exposed the the rear mounted fuel tank , which was a "pinto" wannabe waiting to explode. I thought about not giving the fix it ticket, but since he was 17 and dumb, he needed a ticket to make sure he didn't drive the car like that... too dangerous.

I'll trade you my front GT bumper for your grille delete kit...

Includes fog light assembly (no bulbs) and honeycomb.....Theres a light/medium scrape on the right side of the bumper and some small paint chips but all in all, decent condition.

eH man...I gotta do what I gotta do. Unfortunately, the Mustang is the DD. Once I get a 99/01 Cobra front or whatever seems good, it'll look decent again.

Pics? Color? I'm asking because PershingAuto, sells it prepainted for a small fraction of cost.

Then why drive a car with no bumper cover, if he owns another car...

Because the Cobra is stored and detailed for the engagement pictures, which is pushed to this Thursday. I don't mind driving w/o a front bumper, I gotta do what I gotta do. The wallet is tight due to the wedding and other expenses. If you guys see anyone selling an 99/01 Cobra front (painted in blk) or primered...LMK. 03Mach1 just sold his. :afro:
