Okay so ive been arguing about the MGW and Hurst... i think im gonna get the hurst.. since its the welfare shifter.. and it looks pretty cool. but does anyone have any reference on the shelby shifter? or does the hurst have any rattle issues? or does the shift knob itself get hot?

Hurst sucks. MGW is the way to go. Save up your money. I bought the Hurst and it sucked so bad I put the stocker back in till I could afford the MGW.

I have the hurst on my car it has no rattle sound to it,it shifts good n makes an improvment, ive only felt it get hot after driving along distance

The only people to say "get a hurst" are the ones that have yet to try an MGW an feel the difference and teh smoothness.

My dad's 98 had le hurst, but we switched it to the MGW. I know it's a whole different animal, but MGW has the quality down pat over Hurst. Excellent. Plus they make my sight adjustment/removal tool for my HKs, so they are FTW:batman:

details? what do u need to know? one shifts better than the other. its a matter of preference and the majority here prefer MGW

I voiced my opinion and then I stayed out of here but for some reason you felt the need to bring my name and my crappy mgw into this thread. Just because your failure of a car had problems with the mgw doesnt mean mine does. For the record I can slam the gears in my car waaay better with the mgw than the hurst. The hurts feels cheap and the quality is nothing like my mgw. Issaac feel a hurst car and then feel my mgw and you decide. hell if you want drive my car and bang some gears and you'll see why the MGW is superior. Better quality better shifts, thats the reason it's more expensive than the hurst. No offense to any of the hurst cars but the only reason to buy a hurst is to get an interior mod :shrug:

EDIT: the hurst is usually for people who cant afford the mgw or are too cheap to buy one. If you dont want to pay mgw prices get the pro 5.0 shifter my ex had one in her car until she stepped up to the MGW and it was a very solid nice piece.

when i drove juan's car, i didn't have any problem getting it through the gears with his shifter. :shrug:

Just remember that there are 2 kinds of Hurst shifters as we spoke about it last time, the comp/plus and the billet/plus....the billet/plus is better

yep i would never think of getting the comp.. but if the mgw is actually 250.. then i will go for it.. its not the money for the shifter its the fact that the shift knob itself is effing 65$...

I have the comp IMO its ok, I will be getting a MGW maybe next year :drool:
