Need muffler back 2.5" tailpipes, prefer stainless.

I won't buy anything that has had tips welded or bolted on, I like the stock smooth pipe look.

have 2.5" dynomax tailpipes for solid rear axle or a complete 95 gt catback to trade, or I can buy.

I dont think I can really make my dynomax SRA work even just up to the mufflers, the hangers mount totally different.

anybody have anything available that isn't stock 2.25"?

pretty sure the tail pipes on the 99-01 cobra Are 2.5 inches..or you just want 2.5 cat back? Ill check the 01 setup I have, if anything it would be perfect for a set of weld in mufflers like bullets or bassani..the pipe size wont limit power or sound with a stock 32v...

if stock is 2.5" I'd definitely go for that, I checked out the catback the guy had that I got the IRS from and it didn't look 2.5" to me, it looked 2.25" but more importantly had some tips welded on over the stock tails and then later cutoff, I don't like dealing with that kind of stuff.

let me know either way

I really like that Mac system but I want to show off the pipes a little bit, not many sn95's have IRS :D

thanks for looking though, I found a bassani system on CL down in LA but haven't heard back yet.

For sure the 01 pipes are atleast 2.25 but the tail pipes are bigger, 2.5 or larger.. the tail pipes are polished stainless steel and the rest the system is just stainless..its not like the 94-98 exhaust that have the same pipe size from manifold to the tips..

why dont you just polish the exhaust pipes? thats what i ended up doing with my IRS catback awhile ago. took me about 6hrs or so, but damn they came out with a mirror like finish.

started out light sanding them with 400 grit, then went down to a 600, 800, 1000, and then 2000 wetsand. after than, got some of the mothers polish and they came out good. lasted for awhile too, just have to repolish them with mothers polish again, but it lasted a good 6-8 months or so before it finally started to loose its shine

there is a thread over on SVTP that talks about it and has pics, i forgot to take pics of mine because i was so damn tired by the time i was done with it, but you can literally see everything reflecting off of them.

after going to a few hardware stores, i wasnt able to find the flap wheel he was talking about so i had to do everything by hand....major PITA. if you happen to find the flapwheel, let me know where you got it so i can get some too. i wanna re-do mine and i know it will come in handy.

that looks amazing, but I don't think I have the ambition to perform the upkeep to keep them looking that good on my DD, the underside of my car was spotless for about a year, then I began using it as my DD and it looks horrible underneath now, everything covered with a fine coating of road grime from the recent rain storms.

I'm hopefully picking up a flowbastard 2.5" catback this weekend up in norcal, dude's asking $180.

If it doesn't work out I'll hit you up, cesarthepleaser, though I bet duel 3" pipes would hurt the power on my n/a 4v, as it is I'm planning to swap my dynomax mufflers onto that flowbastard catback I'm looking at if they line up with the pipes, I can't stand the drone of flows.

been there done that FREAKIN LOVED IT! but the magnaflow and bassani catbacks are smaller than the flowmaster ones and dont look as mean. you can see more exhaust pipe meat on the flows.

lock it up, I've yet to install it as I'm still up in norcal, but just picked up a catback today :)
