yeah its neeto being involved in a product/service thats revolutionary. picture the funeral industry hasnt changed in teh last 100, maybe 200 years? sure theres tombstones, and plots, and urns that are different... but anything beyond that? nada. at the latest funeral conventions and crematorium conventions we were a HUGE success.

that brings on another problem. the funeral industry isnt as "tech" as the rest of us. old folk who dont know how to even use the internet (funeral directors) are then given a product to packagebut dont even know how to use it. plus since its pretty new, we've encountered some marketing problems with actually selling it, where in the process of a funeral do you get a "customer" to purchase a site? who sets up the site and creates the content? if its created at time of picking the casket, etc etc... cards can be given out with direct links to the space at the time of the funeral.

its been a bumpy road but we have a 100% working site and so far are the only ones doing it. people spend THOUSANDS on the funeral process but when it comes to visiting it, or other family members/loved ones, friends they're either so far away they cannot honor the person lost or its such "taboo" to even go in the first place, or a huge inconvenience. so a completely ad free, respectable site that is completely personalized is created. Another feature is our slideshow. Since we're adding all this content, pictures, video, we have the ability to create a "movie maker" type interface for a slideshow to be played online or even exported to DVD format to be played at the funeral. Rather than the funeral homes giving the content to some cheeseball local hack video artist who creates some crappy 1982 looking VHS tape. Also its a great "repeat business" aspect for the funeral homes. They can contact previous customers and offer them a service that at the time of the memorial they did not offer.

I'm having fun, its a great environment and its obviously picking up speed QUICKLY. To think the site didnt even exist a couple months ago and now we're getting linked front page on CNN.com? Thats awesome.
