Its been far too long that this car has no radio in it.... so what you all think.
I found it for 179.

not a fan of clarion. their faceplates are so goddamn ugly. plus the blue doesnt match the dash at all. at least alpine goes green led's... they have a bluetooth deck as well.

Sounds like a good choice. Seems like it has a ton of features, like Ipod interface, bluetooth hands free for your phone and USB to play songs directly from a media card... what else would you need? I read a few reviews of the unit and most said it was awesome after they spent a little time getting used to the controls. I have a 4 year old Clarion model in my Mustang that hasn't been used in 3 years. I loved it when the amp was connected... but I haven't used it since then. I love the roar of the motor, but I can only take that so long... I need tunes.

Yeah I have always liked that clarion in your car danny... Nice simple faces much like the alpine stuff. And the blue may not match your dash but it does in mine. Super white leds ftw! ;)
I think its got a lot of features for the money and I won't be trying to build a big power setup around it so I figure it'll work fine for me. Just need to get some ideas for a simple 8 in. Sub setup. Any tips anyone?

Get a 10" since they seem to be more common and often just as cheap. Then get a small MDF enclosure for it, so you can take out for the track.. If you want it even simpler, mount the amp to the sub box and pull it at once. Nobody is going to look in the trunk anyway.
I wish my HU had blue lighting.... It has user selectable custom colors from red, orange and green... but no blue to match the interior... owell...

Thanks bro... you gotta school me on setting up this car audio crap. I never really got into it, so I dont know what I need or anything. Plus as you know in this Cobra, there is no telling what Big D did or had done to it.
So I think you see the theme I'm going for here... simple setup, decent sound, not much more than $500 total if I can swing it and oh yeah, simple.
So...the deck will get ordered pretty quick, I'll see what Mario has in terms of a 10 in. sub with a box and amp, and an amp to run the door speakers and rear deck. The speakers are there, but again I dont know if they work, they are most likely cheapo stuff but if they are I can work around replacing them myself after all the other stuff is in place.
Anyway, You should swing by when you have some time and help me with this POS Oinker. :D

I might have him do the install... but as far as the head unit, I dont like the shit BB carries.
Other than the Alpines, all of them have video screens and play bizzare cartoons and shit anytime they have power to them.
I HATE that shit.
