people are not able to edit their posts indefinitely. the default is set to 1440 minutes or 24 hours.
other than that, the user groups you belong to are both able to edit their own posts.
I think this is a total dumbshit rule.
I wanted to add pics to my lollicup thread but could not edit to add. I have to reply to the threads in order to dew it.
I have NEVER come across a board that has this total dumbshit rule.

ken, it's already set at 24 hours to edit. that's what it was before and it's the default setting for vBulletin. if mark wants to allow indefinite editing, take it up with him, alright?

like i said, take it up with him. phone call, PM, IM, email. no need to post it on the board unless it's up for a member vote. ;)

To be honest, this was a feature that I did not even know of. I have no issues with leaving things to indefinate as they were on the old board.

Many of the big boards make the FS ads un-editable after a few hours to keep people from changing the description after they recieved teh monies and sending crappy parts.
But on a local board like this, where for the most part, we know or can personally contact the sellers, I dont think it's a big deal....

I looked at that site to see if I like that format better. I don't really like it. And way more traffic than this place? That site sucks, they have had like 3 for sale ads placed in the last month and only 165 posts in the last 24 hours. That site has LESS traffic than this place.

harder to skim, at least on the sites I go to that have it, always broken down into too many sections, I hardly look for a specific item, I mostly look for great deals...

agreed.
i like the functionality of the classifieds add-on and i seriously looked into it, but figured we weren't large enough to have something like that, not to mention people here are pretty honest with each other.
well, except for yorchi passing those bad gears he had onto someone else. :look:
