As some of you know i bought some new tires for my car and was looking around for some place to mount and balance them, Since i couldnt find any other place i decide to take my car to Pepboys . I get there around 2 pm and the service worker goes out to look at my rims and tires that were gonna be replace came back in and gave me a quote of $40, i went ahead and got it done... I was there for about 2 hrs because one of their machines had broke etc etc, finally they finished and i go expection the work and noticed my both rear lips had deep rashes on them  I tell the service worker and he goes out and looks at it and tells me ''It was already like that'' I fucking blew up and started cussing him out. Finally the Asst manager comes out and looks at the rims, I show him the fresh metal flakings and he acknowledge that they had damaged them while installing. He gave me a mobile rim repair shops number and said to get an estimate and bring it down to them and we will go from there :jerkit:

My question is, Do i have to take it to his guy or can i get some quotes from other places?

Negative. You can get as many quotes as you want, the only issue is will they pay for a higher quote.

The main thing is. Take your car to whom you trust.

at this point you need to get the managers name, the store number, and start calling pepboys corporate and get this settled. talking to a manager will get you nowhere.

QFT.

mike, do what derek says. just having that piece of paper doesn't mean dick. once again, pep boys proves that UTI students do have a place of employment once they graduate.

there's a wheel repair place that i went to in santa fe springs [it's like right on the border between SFS and la mirada]. it's called wheels america (http://www.wheelsamerica.com/index.php?page=los_angeles) and it's on rosecrans.

give them a call.

that sux... and you should get an "official" letter from that manager. Did you check his ID and make sure its the same signature? he could come back later and say it wasnt him. He could say you wrote that note, doesnt even look official..

If you were worried about that happening, why would you let those minimum wage monkeys touch your car?
I sure hope the low mounting cost is worth all the pain and personal anguish you'll go through now to get your wheel repaired.

Again.... Tucker tire, Covina.

Great service, Fast, No-touch mounters exclusively, Decent prices = 100% of my tire business.

Make sure they don't put in any of that cheap synthetic oil in your car. Von's Club Oil FTW "ask for it by name !!!"

UPDATE: I spoke with the main manager and gave him the quote, he said his policy stated that he can only write me a check if the damage is less than $100. He submitted the claim and i should get more info by monday, atleast i got my $40 back
