BB/pellet gun and critters....??

I've been having issues with critters the last few months. Couple possums and tonight a skunk sprayed my dog. Luckily it wasn't a direct hit, just over spray I think. I have a supressor for my .45 USP, but that's at my dad's place in TX b/c of the stupid NFA:rolleyes: Plus I think it's kinda overkill for a possum lol. And in the dead silence of the night, a supressed .45 is still loud.

I normally don't mind animals, but my dogs are VERY protective of the yard and will NOT leave them alone. Possums have rabbies and skunks spray. The skunk bolted when I jabbed him with a pole. I have a long 15 ft pole for the fruit trees. But possums don't budge. I had to wack the last one w/ a shovel. Kinda gross, I didn't like that. I would rather shoot them.

Anybody here know anything about pellet or BB guns? I know nothing of pellet guns. What's a badass pellet gun that can take out small critters?

A C02 gun might work best.... or better yet just get a trap from the humane society and then have them come pick up the SOBs.

depends on whether or not you want to kill the animal or simply annoy it enough that it leaves.

i tried the stick thing on a skunk that found its way into my garage. didn't budge until i nailed it a couple of times with my paintball marker. that works pretty well on the neighborhood strays too. :D

I have an airsoft KJW pistol. Hurts like a mofo... You can also get an airsoft rifle. It can break a beer bottle easily so I'm sure it can hurt a possum pretty badly.

paintball guns are a horrible idea unless you want to spend ur morning picking crap up.





best bet would be a powerful bb gun that shoots the metal pellets.... if it doesnt kill the animal, it will @ least dig into its skin and make it bleed......

what? pick up what crap? the casings? water soluble. the paint itself? water soluble.

the paint won't harm it and is infinitely more humane than embedding a bb into its hide. :rolleyes:

heh i used to have an airsoft sniper gun. it would go thru cardboard boxes, break glass, etc etc.


id never shoot a lil animal though. if yer gonna kill it, do it humanely. dont just injure the thing. :cry:
