What Sealant do you guys use...?

For the guys using ARP head studs.... What thread sealant are you guys using on the lower studs? used the ARP sealant and having problems with them leaking coolant. I chased the threads and used a wire wheel to remove the coating off the studs:hammer:

Is the Permatex High Temp Thread Sealant( 59214) good? Or will I have problems when I retorque the heads??

I used the locktite brand ptfe sealant that's in like a huge chapstick on mine, dunno if it leaks yet though

I use the ARP thread sealant, NEVER have had a problem. Possible your doing something wrong? How old is the tube of sealant?

Same here... ARP thread sealant with no problems.

About a week old... I'll reorder another tube, maybe I have a bad one.

I used some loc-tite red gasket maker.No leaks.How long do you let it run after the studs.Usually the rust will stop them from leaking after a few cycles

I left it alone overnight and it ran for 15 minutes...
