i only see 3 mismatched monitors and a laptop...

all our designers have apexx4 boxx'es.

four quadcore opterons, 32gb ram each, dual quadro video cards.

some of the stuff they do in maya is pretty goddamn amazing. you dont need 3 computers to do anything. just one.

In all truth, the only reason I've got the 2nd workstation is because I needed to do some stuff in 3dMax, and it doesn't run on Linux. My laptop isn't quite fast enough to do some of the things quickly in 3dMax, I reserve it for photoshop work. We use Maya in Linux (as well as Nuke and other programs), so instead of having a dual boot or trying to run something silly like virtual box just to use a windows program, it was best just to put another machine there so I could use 3dMax :keke:

I only do any final renders locally though, just quick test renders and shader/lighting tests. When it's time to render things out I submit them to the render farm

What all your guys do in Maya? got any of the work online? Wouldn't mind taking a look at it :) My stuff's here ---> http://danielbuck.net/ not entirely current, since some of the stuff I've done hasn't aired yet.

I only see two computers there. :whoknows:
laptop, workstation below the laptop running the two monitors on the left, and another workstation underneith the desk out of view (can't see it in the picture) running the monitor on the right.

I don't know, but I could find out if you want. I don't do any hiring myself, but I can pass on your info to those who do.
