I'm leaving Marks shop after dropping off some stuff for the Oinker, and while we were in the parking lot we were laughing about all the little shit that is wrong with the red pile and I was saying, "yeah, I know...I gotta get to that sometime." And I was talking about the stroker swap I'm planning for the red car later after the white car motor gets done and installed.

Well I drive out of the lot and around the corner and the most unlikely thing happens....

Driving the opposite direction is the cleanest, all stock, Rio Red 95 Cobra I have seen in a LOOOOONG time.
And as we approached I could see the driver's head turn towards my car and just stared, as we passed we both kinda nodded at each other in acknowledgement.

DAMMIT! I want this car looking like that now.

I know EXACTLY which car you are talking about. The guy works down the street and I see that car at least 2-3 times a week. It is FUCKING clean.

Dude, just let me know if there is anything we can help with. Having one project car can be quite a handful, two is just an excuse to pull your hair out...

oh wait.....

It happens! I look at those moments as motivators to get me going again :)

That car is insane. If you ever speak to him please give him my regards.

yeah I do too.... I'm motivated and right now I'm shopping for new wheels, body parts and digging out the estimate I got for paint and sizing up my income for the next few months.

God Damn this is depressing....

Coming from you, that is hilarious.

There should be an olympic sport of car modding.

The winner is the person who has the least time between purchase and modding.

Greg would be the returning champion every year.

Aren't cars fun.
Pulls hair, screams and wimpers.
Good thing I know my green pile really is a pile and the only money I put into it is gas and the occassional oil change.

yeah, having two (and sometimes 3 or 4) project cars sucks. Each day I think about putting my XR4Ti up for sale. I just can't bring myself to do it since I have so much money into it and I won't get near the amount I have into it (at least $3K in the engine alone). But I really want an Incon system for the Mustang and a stronger block.

I also need to get the Mercedes roadworthy again, but looking at it just the other day I noticed some clearcoat failure on the rear bumper. :finger3: So pissed off about that. I have enough little things as it is that are going to cost and arm and a leg and eat into my profit.

That's the same reason I still have my Mustang. It's paid for, costs zero to sit there, and if I sold it, I know I'd regret it. Plus it also keeps me in check with the SRT8....no need to have 2 track cars.

But I AM making progress on it as of late.....
