Took it off the Cobra (remember it was totaled). In excellent condition, deep cycle, paid $220 new, $150 takes it. Also would need your old battery so I could get back the core charge from the Vatozone battery that I bought and put in it since the insurance company wanted a battery with it.

The yellow top is a deep cycle, so it can handle accessories like a sound system and won't drain like other batteries. It also has higher crank amps (870) and are very durable, the cobra sat for a month and when I went to start it, it started right up didn't have to jump it. :D

Is Optima a dry cell battery?

What's the difference between the Optima red top and their yellow top?

Optimas are dry cell batteries. The difference between the red and yellow top is that the yellow top is a deep cycle battery so it can handle accessories like a sound system.

the red top's cheaper and is supposed to last longer than a standard battery. the yellow is supposed to handle more full drains, that's why it's called deep cycle. the standard batteries usually die out after a couple full drains. that's about all i know, i stick with the cheapo costco batteries

is the yellow top overkill for an all stock system? will it cause problems?
