Like I said before... the union contracts will go NOWHERE.
Reworked under the new corporate structure...yes.
Cancelled? Not a chance.

I applaud the UAW for working really hard to re-structure the contract. There is a lot of auto-worker's "skin in the game." I hope this works for all their families.
There is a chance Chrysler will become good going forward. :D

I think it'll be the same... UAW knows Chrysler and GM are in the same boat.... so when they give in to one they will have to do the same to the other.
GM will renegotiate their union contract, go into bankruptcy protection to settle with creditors, close, sell or spin off unprofitable divisions/brands and continue on laying off or offering buyouts to employees.
No huge product changes or warranty worries....
watch.

Yeah and we'll see how you tax payers like it having to come up with a way to finance the pensions and medical programs of all the retired people that worked and paid into them.... and yes by LAW they are mandated to be in place.
So yeah, thats not gonna happen.
That whole statement is as uninformed and ignorant as they come man. :no:
