View Full Version : Garnett may be out for the rest of the playoffs

I guess he has strained knee ligaments.
Which means I can just hear it now, if Boston plays the Lakers in the finals, without Garnett, and the Lakers win...
"Well, they didn't have Garnett"
Maybe someone will just knock them out of the playoffs so we don't have to deal with that.

isn't that a valid argument though? He's pretty good I would think and not having him would be worse than the Lakers not having soft-as-hell Gasol. I'd offer to make a bet with you, but I've heard of your financial woes. :ninja:

Hey!
Well, yeah it is a valid argument, but I still hate that shit.
Plus, I may be getting a hold on the financial side of things. :woot:

Its going to be the Lakers vs Cavs. I mean look at the way Boston has struggled against the Bulls, although im not saying the bulls are a bad team but without K.G, Boston will not be able to get pass Lebron and the Cavs.

Nick there struggling with the Bulls as stated above the Bulls are not a bad team but Boston shouldn't be struggling against the Bulls. $50.00 the Celtics don't make to the NBA Championship that is all

Well we didn't have Bynum and sure gave them a run for their money....now this year with Bynum we are able to take them out with KG in their line up...now without him they don't stand a chance IMO. Heck that is IF they get passed the Bulls!

IF the Celtics even make it past the Bulls, they will have a much tougher time in the 2nd round and will most likely get knocked out there...
I can't wait to see a Lakers vs Cavs final...except I'll be in Sacramento so I won't even be able to go out and watch it at a sports bar or anything...I don't wanna get stabbed :look:

no one will say "the lakers won cause garnet was out" cause the celtics will not even come close to them. Lebron is going to anal rape the whole team and spooge on the coaches faces as he makes his way to the finals to face the Lakers. THATS gonna be a series  (go lakers!!)

Lakers vs Cavs will be an amazing finals matchup.
I honestly don't think anyone can stop the Lakers or Cavs in their conferences. Celtics won't make it to the finals for sure, they are just limping their way to a game 7..Orlando will take them out, if not certainly the Cavs. Lakers will sweep the Rockets or a 4-1...then face more than likely Denver...and that's a 4-1 series....Lakers vs Cavs..Lakers in 6
dmark101
05-01-2009, 12:56 PM
well, i think houston will win one game, but who knows? the lakers may actually sweep, but not if they let big leads get away from them yet again, as they've done all season. denver will wipe the floor with dallas, 4-1 in that series is being generous.
the east? well, whoever wins the bulls/celtics series has to face orlando and those chances may or may not be good depending upon how fatigued the winning team is. if it's chicago, they're pretty young, so they could recuperate faster. if boston, they're looking a little long in the tooth and the youngsters have been prone to stupid fouls. orlando should take the 2nd round series.
same goes for the hawks/heat series. no matter who wins it, the cavs will win their 2nd round series easily. i'd say if the hawks win, it'll be 4-1, maybe 4-2 if they play out of their minds in the ATL. if the heat, they're getting swept.

they could of won that game... celtics just got fortunate that scalabrine made his open shots otherwise the bulls take that game... and momentum means alot in basketball ben gordon hit a 3 early in the first quarter and the credited him a 2, then finally they gave him the extra point in the fourth quarter when the bulls were still loosing.. but they had chances but all in all nobody thought they would take boston to 7 with or without kg...
